Voice Translator for Android — Understand Them. Reply in Their Language.

Read or hear a message in your language, then type or speak a reply and translate it back into theirs. The Android preview accepts shared voice messages and shared or pasted text, keeping both sides of the conversation understandable.

This test version is not in the Google Play Store. Download the APK installation file directly from 3DJ, then follow the steps below on your Android phone.

This is a test release. Features may change and you may encounter bugs. AI features use your existing 3DJ account and shared credit balance; downloading the app does not include unlimited AI use.

How to install

From download to your first translation

Open this page on the Android phone you want to use. Menu names vary by phone manufacturer and Android version.

  1. Download the APK

    Tap Download for Android above and wait for the download to finish. If your browser asks whether to keep an APK file, confirm only after checking that you opened the official 3dj.co.uk website and deliberately requested this download.

  2. Open your Downloads folder

    Tap the completed download notification, or open Files / My Files and select Downloads. Find the 3DJVoiceTranslator file ending in .apk and tap it. You can also find it in your browser menu under Downloads.

  3. Allow this installation source

    If Android says this source is not allowed to install apps, tap Settings on that prompt. Enable Allow from this source for the browser or Files app that opened the APK, then return to the installer. You can also search Settings for Install unknown apps and select that same app. This permission is needed because the preview is distributed outside Google Play.

  4. Review the prompt and install

    Check that the installer identifies 3DJ Voice Translator, then tap Install and wait. If Google Play Protect offers to scan the app, let it scan. A harmful-app warning is different from the normal unknown-source prompt: stop and send us the exact warning rather than disabling Play Protect or other phone protections.

  5. Open the app and try it

    Tap Open, or find 3DJ Voice Translator in your app list. Sign in with your 3DJ account when prompted. Allow microphone access when you choose a recording feature. Afterwards, return to Install unknown apps and turn Allow from this source off for the browser or Files app.

Tell us what works on your phone

Try the complete exchange: share a voice message or paste text into 3DJ, read or hear the translation, then type or record a reply in your language. Translate it back, check the result and share text or audio. Tell us if either direction, recording or playback fails.

Use the support form below and select Bug report or Feature request. Include your phone model, Android version, app version, the steps you followed and the exact error text. Use sample messages instead of private conversations.

If installation does not complete

Check that the download has finished and that your phone has enough free space. Download the APK again from this page if the file is incomplete. If your phone reports an incompatible app, a signature conflict, a harmful app or an administrator restriction, contact us with the message. Keep your existing installation and data while we investigate.

Installing a later test version

Return to this page for the current download and open the newer APK to update. Android checks whether it can update the installed app. If it refuses, contact support before uninstalling, as uninstalling can remove local app data.
