What does 3DJ Windows Restore save?
It records the position, size and display state of normal application windows for each monitor arrangement. Your documents and application data are not copied or inspected.
How does the startup layout work?
Choose a monitor and grid, then drag open programs into its slots. After Windows starts, select Load startup windows from the tray to open available programs and place them in the saved slots.
What happens when a monitor powers off?
Recording pauses immediately so Windows cannot overwrite your good layout with temporary positions. After the monitor wakes, restore a saved layout and recording resumes.
Can I use more than one monitor?
Yes. Automatic layouts are stored for each monitor arrangement, and a startup grid can be assigned to the screen you choose.
Will it reopen every kind of application?
It can relaunch conventional desktop programs when Windows exposes their executable path. Some protected, packaged or administrator applications may need to be opened manually before restore.
Does it run in the background?
Yes. It lives in the Windows notification area and can start when you sign in. Capture frequency and startup behaviour are configurable.
Can I change my startup grid later?
Yes. Open Set up startup windows from the tray, choose another monitor or grid, and save the replacement layout.
Is this a backup product?
No. It restores window placement, not files. Continue using your normal backup service for documents and system recovery.
